DIY stuff doesn’t necessary make things cheaper, but the process offers gratification that money can’t buy. Gratification like the ability to build your own radio controlled version of the 2016 Draxter Concept Drag Bike and maybe, even a 2016 Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP. We already piqued your interest, didn’t we? No? Well, then perhaps the fact that the aforementioned scaled, RC versions each has a rider that moves will. A RC motorcycle is, of course, nothing new, and I am sure a 3D printed one isn’t either, but one that features an articulated rider with arms, head and torso that moves like a real person riding like Brett Turnage’s creations? And DIY? Now, that’s something worthy of any motorcycle enthusiast, tinkerer, or RC aficionado’s attention.
Additional highlights of Brett’s builds include functional front fork, adjustable rear suspension, a belt drive system, a weighted front wheel for balancing, and the option to roll on TPU 3D printed rear tires or a rubber F1 RC tires. But before you jump into it, you should appreciate Brett’s effort and his willingness to share it freely on Pinshape as it took the man over 5 months to arrive to what you see today.
