This one goes out to superfans of Audi who need every variant of the Audi R8 LMS, even as a building-block toy. It also goes out to anyone who just thinks, “No carbon fiber, not a race car,” or simply thinks the mainly white-and-yellow livery is a tad too bland.
Folks, meet the new Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels ’15 Audi R8 LMS Deluxe Version. As the name suggests, this set is a direct variant or upgrade of the original Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels ’15 Audi R8 LMS we read about last September. As such, it is based on the same core 1:16-scale mold as the standard version.
The Deluxe Version bumps the piece count to 861. It adds carbon fiber-style accent bricks, extra bodywork pieces, a new custom decal sheet, three sets of wheel covers—two of which are made of metal—and a detailed engine bay—in addition to the standard working doors and functional steering. It also gets a new red, white, and grey livery and a pair of yellow headlamps. Snazzy.
As before, the building set comes with a signature plate and a matching 1:64 die-cast car, but this time, it gets an upgraded display case.
The new Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels ’15 Audi R8 LMS Deluxe Version is expected to be released on October 1, 2026. Meanwhile, you may pre-order it from Amazon.com for US$75.59, with delivery as early as October 5, 2026.
