Mind-blown: These Tubes Are Actually Folded Down Electric Scooters!

GoTube Super Portable Electric Scooter by East Go

Billed as the world’s most portable electric scooter, the GoTube Super Portable Electric Scooter by Hong Kong-based East Go does not even look remotely like an electric scooter when folded down. In fact, this 12.8 lbs (5.8 kg) new kid in the electric mobility looks more like a yoga mat when kept inside the included hardshell sling case. Its ridiculous lightweight is afforded by a mostly aluminum construction with a generous use of carbon fiber, and while it may measures a tiny 74.3 x 13.7 cm (29.3 by 5.4 inches) when collapsed, and 74.2 x 41.5 cm (29.3 x 36.5 inches) when deployed, it is totally capable of taking a person of weight up to 150 kg (330 lbs).

An in-built 120W motor, powered by a 36V 4aH battery, affords this nifty urban mobility contraption with speeds up to 16 km/h (9.9 mph), a range of 12 km (7.5 miles), and the grunt to tackle up to 10 degrees inclines. GoTube comes outfitted with a digital display that offers rider with insight to the current speed, remaining range, as well as speed control. According to East Go, this little guy has cruise control too. Other worthy mentions include shock absorption at booth wheels for ride comfort, quick 2-hour charging, USB port for charging your mobile devices, and LED illuminated front and rear for low-light riding.

East Go has taken GoTube to Kickstarter where it was funded, pulling in $130k in funding from nearly 400 backers, and it is now on Indiegogo where you can pre-order a unit for $329, slated for May 2017 delivery. Keep going to watch the product video.
