1:64 scale die-cast model cars are as inanimate as they possibly can be. However, placing them in a diorama immediately adds dynamism. Even then, that isn’t good enough for the folks at Funtech Lab. Funtech Lab thinks your model cars need to do what real cars do, like, you know, go on a dyno, get inside a wind tunnel, or perhaps ride a lift up a smart garage to be parked.
You heard that right. A smart parking garage. For 1:64 scale die-cast model cars. Believe it.
The Parksible Smart Garage for Model Cars, as it is called, completely reimagines the concept of display for 1:64 die-cast model cars. Like the Runsible and Windsible, it adds motion to your display. But where those support one model at a time, the Parksible is an entire block of parking garage, letting you go dynamic with 14 cars.
It is an intelligent display system for your 1:64 collection that turns a monotonous display into a super cool, high-tech showcase. The standard Parksible features built-in temperature and humidity monitoring to protect your investments, and there is offline control to allow continued operation without the app. Ah, yes, it has an app, too, for the Pro edition.
In addition to the offline control and the temperature and humidity monitoring, the Parksible PRO goes full-on high-tech, worthy of a Q workshop. Parksible PRO features an AI recognition camera for smart identification that logs each model as it arrives and syncs your display to the app in real time. Yes, really. You can check on your virtual garage and access a 3D view of the model cars.
Parksible is fully automated. Just place the car, select the desired available parking spot on the app, and it takes it from there. You can monitor your collection 24/7 and stay informed of the number of available spots, as well as the temperature and humidity. It has a removable rear panel, ensuring you have access in the event of a power loss.
To call the Parksible a parking garage may be an insult. It is more like a vertical showroom for your miniature cars. Each “showroom” is equipped with soft, stable lighting with adjustable brightness.
The dynamic parking garage measures 272 mm wide (10.7 in), 370 mm deep (14.6 in), and towers at 712 mm tall (28.0 in). The height between each level is 64 mm (2.5 in), while each parking slot measures 45 mm wide (1.8 in) and 102 mm deep (4.0 in).
The Parksible Smart Garage for Model Cars by Fun-Tech-Lab will be available first on Kickstarter with a super early bird offer of up to 24% off. However, the actual price has not been revealed. But trust me, it will not be cheap.
