PUBG Mobile x Transformers: Battle Royale Meets Cybertronian Showdown

PUBG Mobile x Transformers Collaboration

PUBG Mobile has managed to stay relevant for 7 years and counting. I think part of its relevance strategy is the marriage of realistic guerrilla warfare and not-so-serious getups. I mean, who the hell dresses like a bear and heads into a battlefield? Another strategy is collaboration, which the game has been doing since 2020.

Joining the growing list of pop culture icons like Resident Evil, Godzilla, Evangelion, and more to grace Erangel is, believe it or not, the Transformers. And this is perhaps the most complex and deep collab yet. PUBG Mobile x Transformers is more than just themed gear and getups—it brings driveable Transformers to the battlefield (!).

In this V3.9 update, you don’t just dress like Optimus Prime—you become Optimus Prime. Or Megatron. Through the new summoning system, players can call down the Autobots and Decepticons from Cybertron using a Spacebridge Beacon.

The bots arrive, transform, and enter the fray as playable mecha with their own skills and ultimate attacks. Optimus swings his axe like a gladiator; Megatron fires explosive Fusion Blasts while rolling around in tank form. Yes, you read that right—you can pilot a transforming tank.

Summon one, collect Energon to level it up, and enter a one-on-one duel if both bots show up in the same match. The victor stays in the game. The loser? Outta there.

New themed areas like the Neon Outpost and Astro Den bring an extra splash of sci-fi chaos, complete with patrolling robots, melee-only brawls, and cosmic burgers. And let’s not forget the loot drops, upgrades, and stylish hoverboards to help you zip around like a galactic Tony Hawk.

The Transformers mode is available now through September 2. Get in, squad up, and bring the war to Erangel—with a giant robot.
