R-PUR May Very Well Be The Mask Motorcyclists Never Knew They Need

R-PUR Two-wheeler Purpose-designed Anti-pollution Mask

Air pollution is serious issue in metropolitan areas. If you are driving in a four-wheeler, i.e. an automobile, you are less exposed to harmful particles in the air because you would have air-conditioning. Motorcycles too have air-conditioning, but in natural form which means, air pollution is going to hit you hard when you are riding a motorbike. If you ask the scooter-riding community in Taiwan, they will tell you the solution is simple: just wear mask. However, you probably don’t want to wear any mask; you want R-PUR. Why? Because it is the first anti- air pollution mask designed specifically for riders and it may very well extend your lifespan. Maybe.

R-PUR is a French designed and made mask that is billed as the first of its kind to actually filter all harmful particles. Using a new-generation filtering solution (Norm FFP3) said to better even the highest norm en149 standard, R-PUR blocks your lungs’ uninvited ‘guests’, including nasty stuff toxic and fine particles, pollens, exhaust emissions, even viruses and bacteria that may be present in the air, and this being a French product, it does it will a lot style. When I say “a lot” I do mean a lot. I am sure, you have already noticed that from the product images around this post.

As far as functionality goes, it will stop bad stuff from getting to your nose (and into your lungs) while a built-in valve aids in expelling warm breath so it will not fog up your eyewear. Speaking of which, R-PUR is totally eyewear-friendly and it is of course, helmet-friendly too. While designed for motorcycle riders, R-PUR is really for everyone. It can also be used when riding bicycles, or even jogging. R-PUR was a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign which is now on Indiegogo InDemand where you can still pre-order a set for €75 (roughly US$88).

Delivery is expected happen sometime in November 2017. Before you adjourn to the product’s campaign page, you may want to skip ahead for the product pitch video to learn more.
