Taking your thumb off the aiming stick to press a button feels like a small inconvenience until someone shoots you during the interruption. Razer’s Wolverine V4 lineup gives your other fingers more work, with a wireless Pro and wired Tournament Edition for Xbox and PC.
Both adopt contactless capacitive thumbstick sensors, paired with a 16-bit ADC registering approximately 3,000 movement steps. Razer promises drift resistance, so your character should wait for instructions before wandering off.
Polling reaches 8,000 Hz on PC, with claimed sub-millisecond response times. Xbox Series X|S operation tops out at 250 Hz, an important distinction before anyone starts expecting the PC figures on console.
The Pro gets four removable magnetic back buttons and two claw-grip bumpers. HyperTriggers switch between short, clicky actuation and a full analog pull, with adjustment from 1.3 to 8.2 mm through Synapse.
PBT mecha-tactile face buttons, an eight-way floating D-pad, and textured TPU grips complete the controls. Four profiles store your preferred settings, while the Pro’s magnetic faceplate and interchangeable thumbstick caps let you change its look and feel.
The Razer Wolverine V4 Pro Controller is available for US$199.99 from Razer.com, Amazon.com, and Best Buy.
