Back in May, Samsung teased its upcoming Intelligent Eyewear, but aside from the names of its partners, there wasn’t much to chew on. Galaxy Unpacked, the event where the new Fold devices and new Watch were announced, has finally filled in some of the blanks.
Samsung confirmed the smart glasses will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform and Android XR, working as a companion to a Galaxy smartphone rather than replacing it. The glasses support both Google Gemini and Samsung Bixby, letting users send messages, make calls, navigate, translate conversations, recognize landmarks, summarize notifications, and capture photos without reaching for their phones.
Samsung also confirmed the hardware includes stereo speakers, microphones, a built-in camera, touch controls, a physical button, and an LED indicator that lights up whenever the camera is active. Designed to look and feel like ordinary eyewear, the screenless AI audio glasses skip a built-in display screen entirely; a sleek form factor helped by collaborations with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
On the power front, Samsung revealed that the glasses deliver up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge, while the included charging case provides up to 7 additional full charges.
Pricing remains a mystery, and there are still no specific details on weight, exact battery capacity in milliamp-hours, camera resolution, or field of view. Samsung is targeting a Fall 2026 launch, so there’s still time for those final specs to surface.
