Second Bang & Olufsen Special Edition Ferrari Collection Unveiled, Has A Lot Less Red This Time

Second Bang & Olufsen Special Edition Ferrari Collection

Bang & Olufsen and Ferrari are back at it again, and this time they’ve ditched the bright red for a sleeker look. Remember the Ferrari-red Bang & Olufsen gear that turned heads last year? Well, they’ve now shifted gears, adding three new masterpieces to the mix. In their second collaboration, the Danish audio experts and the Prancing Horse marque have joined forces to create the Special Edition Ferrari Collection, featuring a made-to-order Beolab 50 speaker, Beosound Theatre Soundbar, and Beovision Theatre TV solution, all decked out in Ferrari’s charcoal Grigio Corsa color so that you’d feel fast when being entertained by audio and visual at home.

It’s All About Aluminum

If you’re wondering how these two iconic brands crossed paths again, it’s all about the shared love of aluminum. Yes, you read that right. Both Ferrari and Bang & Olufsen are obsessed with aluminum, from the chassis of Ferrari’s speed machines to the finely crafted speakers of Bang & Olufsen.

For this collection, Bang & Olufsen’s experts at their Factory 5 in Denmark went all out with an anodization process and pearl blasting to create a matte finish that would make any car enthusiast proud. And in true Ferrari fashion, they added a few red accents—because it wouldn’t be Ferrari without a little flash of red, would it?

The Beolab 50 Ferrari Edition

The Beolab 50 Ferrari Edition is the showstopper of the collection. These active loudspeakers are not just for listening to your favorite tunes; they’re for turning your living room into a sonic racetrack. The red racing line across the jet-black fabric and the Ferrari Prancing Horse logo laser-etched into the speaker’s acoustic lens are nice touches. Plus, when that red lens ascends from the speaker, it’s like seeing the hood pop on a Ferrari—but for your ears.

Under the hood, each speaker packs one ¾” tweeter, three 4” mid-range drivers, and three 10” woofers. These speakers are backed by one Bang & Olufsen ICEpower 300 W for tweeter, three Bang & Olufsen ICEpower 300 W for mid-range, three x Bang & Olufsen ICEpower 300 W for woofers, and a host of sound technologies.

The Beosound Theater Ferrari Edition

Then there’s the Beosound Theater Ferrari Edition, a soundbar with a roar that could wake the neighbors. With twelve custom drivers (12!!!) firing in all directions, it’s like having a pit crew of speakers revving in your living room. Crafted in that signature Grigio Corsa aluminum, it’s sleek, powerful, and ready to take pole position in your home theater setup.

In case anyone’s wondering, the 12 drivers include two 1” tweeters, four 2.5” full-range drivers, two 3” mid-range drivers, one 5.25” mid-range drivers plus one 1” tweeter for custom-made coaxial center speaker, and two 6.5” woofer custom made.

The speakers aren’t alone; they are bolstered by 12 power amplifiers which include no less than ten 60-watt amplifiers for the center channel, left/right/upfiring/side firing outputs, and two 100-watt amplifiers for bass outputs. So, yeah, it is a big guy.

The Beovision Theater Ferrari Edition

Lastly, for the full immersive experience, there’s the Beovision Theater Ferrari Edition. Available in a variety of sizes, from 55” to 77”, it’s designed to make you feel like you’re watching Fast and Furious from the driver’s seat. The Dolby Atmos surround sound, 4K OLED screen, and a motorized stand mean you won’t just be watching movies—you’ll be living them. And yes, even the remote has the Ferrari logo, because why wouldn’t it?

The Beovision Theater Ferrari Edition—or the Beovision Theater in general—is essentially the Beosound Theater with a display because that is what it is. The soundbar-integrated TV is everything the Beosound Theater is—all 12 drivers plus the sound techs, and 4K OLED TV that is rocking over 8M pixels, and supports a range of display techs, including HDR, HDR 10, HDR 10 Pro, HLG, and Dolby Vision IQ. And oh, it is a smart TV too, enabled by webOS.

If you’re feeling fancy (and let’s be honest, you probably should be), you can grab the whole Ferrari Collection at select Bang & Olufsen stores. Prices for the Ferrari Edition Beolab 50 speakers start at a cool €88,000, with the Beosound Theatre soundbar starting at €17,000, and the Beovision Theatre TV solution from €23,500.
