For Godzilla fans who consider toys and sculptures a tad too “kiddish” but still want a radioactive reptile in the display cabinet, U-Treasure has a more grown-up solution: make the monster out of gold. Its latest extravagant tribute turns the 2016 Shin Godzilla into a miniature figure cast in 18K yellow gold, because nothing says mature fandom quite like investing in a tiny precious-metal kaiju.
Released to commemorate the film’s 10th anniversary, the figure depicts Godzilla in his fourth form, complete with the creature’s unsettling proportions, textured hide, elongated tail, and hands that always look as though he has just remembered something important.
In the movie, Shin Godzilla stood at a city-inconveniencing 118.5 meters (~389 feet) tall. U-Treasure’s version has been downsized significantly—like it had been put under the Electromagnetic Shrink Ray—to approximately 13 mm tall, 6 mm wide, and 16.65 mm deep. It weighs around 1.9 g, making it unlikely to flatten Tokyo but still perfectly capable of stomping all over your disposable income.
Despite its tiny dimensions, the figure was created by skilled jewelry artisans who reproduced the monster’s eerie presence and intricate details in precious metal. U-Treasure appears particularly proud of the miniature hands, and understandably so. Sculpting those spindly little appendages at this scale probably required steadier nerves than evacuating Tokyo.
The golden Godzilla comes inside a dedicated acrylic-and-wood display case measuring 55 × 55 × 25 mm. Also included is a certificate documenting its specifications and randomly assigned serial number.
Only 100 pieces will be offered worldwide. Reservations run from July 21 through September 2, 2026, with shipping expected to begin around January 29, 2027. The Shin Godzilla Godzilla (2016) Mini Figure Gold Model commands 110,000 yen [JP], or roughly US$690.
It cannot roar, breathe atomic fire, or evolve into another horrifying form. But give the gold price enough time, and it may still become more powerful.
