Teenage Engineering Updates OD-11 With Bluetooth

Teenage Engineering OD-11 Wireless Stereo Loudspeaker

Remember the super cool Teenage Engineering’s reboot of the Stig Carlsson speaker from four years ago? Well, it has been updated with Bluetooth support – in addition to AirPlay and Spotify connect. Furthermore, it has more colors, now including red, black, walnut and white, plus a limited edition blue which I am all over it. Here’s a quick run down of the OD-11:

“OD-11 is compatible with all music services.stream your favourite music at home, bring it on your holiday and listen offline with cabin mode, or connect any instrument, turntable, gaming console or TV, for a rich sound experience.”

This modern iteration gets a 100 watt class-D amplifier, a built-in computer, LED indicator, and the latest in WiFi streaming technology, wrapped in a timeless design with minimal aesthetic interruption. Control is via an equally minimalist Ortho remote that features a wireless volume knob with click functions for play, pause and skip.

The super cool, Ortho Remote.

It can remotely control via with a universal remote that connects using Bluetooth 4.0 LE, or if you so desire control it using a free remote control app called Orthoplay.

It can be remotely control with a dedicated app too.

You can find Teenage Engineering OD-11 Wireless Stereo Loudspeaker on the company’s web store with a starting price of $999. Keep going for a few more dope looks.
