Transformers Star Eagle Turns Airazor into a Bald Eagle for USA 250th Anniversary

Transformers Deluxe Class Star Eagle patriotic bald eagle Airazor redeco figure in robot and eagle modes

I expect Hasbro, a toy company, to celebrate anniversaries of its existence and its toy brands. I certainly did not expect to see it celebrating a country’s anniversary. But it does, folks. Meet the Transformers Deluxe Class Star Eagle, a figure released to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA.

I don’t know if the patriotism will convince non-Transformers fans to buy one, but I am pretty sure patriotic Transformers fans will likely be enticed, more so if the fan is huge on Beast Wars. The Star Eagle figure is essentially a mild retool and a complete redeco of Takara Tomy Beast Wars Airazor, which also appeared in the Takara Tomy Transformers Beast Wars Again BWVS-07 — Loyalty Showdown: Airazor vs. Inferno set and Hasbro’s Transformers: Kingdom – War for Cybertron Airazor from recent years.

OK. It literally is the latter, except for the Beast Mode head sculpt, which now looks more like a bald eagle than the peregrine falcon the original Airazor was.

But the most American thing about this celebratory toy is the colorway. The grey, orange, and gold set has been replaced with blue, white, and red, interjected by some grey plastic. Not going to lie. It looks pretty cool, and I should think it is to many fans, since the US$27.99 toy’s pre-orders on HasbroPulse.com were promptly snapped up. So, yeah, they are sold out. But you should be able to find pre-orders with other major toy retailers, or perhaps just wait for it to drop on May 1, 2026.

Anyhoo, the toy is a Deluxe Class figure that stands 4.5 inches (11 cm) tall in robot form, and it converts between robot and eagle mode in 22 steps. It is supplied with a pair of rocket blaster accessories. Finally, it has matching packaging in red, blue, and white (and some black).
