This Is Triumph Trekker GT, Triumph Motorcycles’ First Electric Bicycle

Triumph Trekker GT Electric Bicycle

Harley-Davidson is not the only motorcycle maker to make bicycles. U.K. premium motorcycle maker Triumph Motorcycles has announced Trekker GT, the company’s very first electric bicycle. Trekker GT is no James Bond‘s two-wheeler, but it probably would be the ride if Bond had to pedal his way at some point.

Featuring a Triumph designed alloy frame with full internal cable routing for that extra clean and sleek look, the Triumph Trekker GT is pedal-assist bicycle powered by a 250 W Shimano DU-E6100 offering 60 Nm (44 lb-ft) of torque.

The motor is paired to a Shimano SL-M6000-R Deore, Rapidfire Plus 10-speed shifter and a Shimano derailleur. A 504 Wh Shimano BT-8035 battery, seamlessly integrated into the frame, offers an impressive 150 km (93 miles) of range per charge.

Other highlights include:

Triumph Trekker GT Electric Bicycle is no concept. It will go on sale in Europe, the U.K., and the U.S. with a starting price of £2,950 (or about U$3,667). If you are interested in getting one, then be sure to sign to be informed of its availability.
