Razer Unveiled Blade 15 Advanced And New Blade Pro 17 Laptop

2019 Razer Blade Pro 17 and Blade 15

Slim bezels on anything with a display never fail to get me and so, not surprisingly, the recently announced 2019 Razer Blade Pro 17 and Blade 15 Advanced Model had my complete attention. Though I can’t say the same for the pricing. But more on that later. On the 23rd this month, Razer introduces two new portables, a new addition to the Razer Blade 15 lineup announced earlier this year and a new Razer Blade Pro 17.

Despite it being a 17-inch, the Razer Blade Pro 17 is actually smaller than other 17-inch game laptop by as much as 25 percent. And you know what that means. It means, thin-assed bezels. Sweet. Key features of the 17-incher include vapor chamber cooling system paired to a new multi-fan design and 9th-generation 2.6 GHz (can be boosted to up to 4.5 GHz) Intel Core i7-9750H processor with Hyperthreading technology.

The 17-incher also benefits from NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, 16 GB DDR4 2667 MHz dual-channel memory, 512 GB PCIe SSD, a free-to-utilize m.2 drive slot compatible with both SATA and PCIe standards, and a glorious 17.3-inch FHD 144 Hz matte panel that covers 100 percent of the sRGB space. With the Razer Blade Pro 17, you will also get a full suite of connectivity options, including 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, 1x HDMI 2.0b port, a Realtek 2.5 Gb Ethernet port, a UHS-III SD card reader, and 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports (of which, one doubles as a Thunderbolt 3 port).

There is of course, Bluetooth 5.0, as well as Intel Wireless AX WLAN card. All these goodies are packed inside a gorgeous body crafted from a single block of aircraft-grade aluminum via CNC and anodized with a matte finish for a super sleek look and scratch-resistant exterior. Oh, there is also a large glass touchpad, along with Razer Chroma-enabled individually backlit keys.

The Razer Blade 15 (Advanced Model, as it is called), on the other hand, sells itself in the display department, offering a choice of 240 Hz FHD or 4K OLED display. But that’s only on the Advanced model. Just so you know. The Base model has gotten a bump in the display department too, with a 144 MHz FHD display and choice of GeForce RTX GPUs.

Under the hood, it gets the 9th-generation Intel Core i7 6-core processors (up to 2.6 GHz i7-9750H that can be further boosted up to 4.5 GHz), 16 GB DDR4 2667 MHz dual-channel memory, dual storage (SATA + HDD) of up to 256 GB and 2 TB, a choice of GTX or RTX GPUs and more.

The new Razer Blade Pro 17 will be arriving in May with a starting price of $2,499 while the updated Razer Blade 15 is available now with a starting price of $1,999 and $2,399 for the Base model and Advanced Model, respectively.
