In case you have forgotten, BRABUS does not stop at cars. It has two-wheelers covered, has even lent its styling touch to helicopters, and has boats too. The last category now includes something with twice the hulls. Meet the BRABUS ULTIMA 55, the company’s first luxury catamaran created with Sunreef Yachts. One hull, it seems, was no longer enough.
The ULTIMA 55 measures 17 m (55.8 ft) long and 5.6 m (18.4 ft) wide. Folding platforms expand its beam to 7.6 m (24.9 ft), creating a much larger aft entertainment area complete with adjustable sunpads, an extendable carbon-fiber table, wet bar, and electric barbecue.
Propulsion comes from two 10.8-liter six-cylinder engines, each producing 725 hp for a combined 1,450 hp. Top speed exceeds 40 knots, or roughly 74 km/h (46 mph). An advanced hydrofoil system lifts the hulls higher above the water, reducing drag and keeping the catamaran stable with virtually no heel.
Naturally, it receives the full BRABUS treatment: Graphite Black bodywork, exposed carbon-fiber wings, illuminated logos, carbon LED roof lights, and upholstery offered in Graphite, Red, or Pearl.
Inside are Moonstone leather, Alcantara, carbon fiber, configurable ambient lighting, and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system. The galley includes an induction cooktop, oven, refrigerators, and ice makers, while a 43-inch television rises electrically from the countertop.
Two layouts accommodate either four or six guests, plus one crew member. Fuel capacity is 1,500 liters (396 gallons).
BRABUS has not published a price. The “Request Now” button is therefore less a shopping convenience and more a financial personality test. 😄
