Back in 2022, BRABUS did something rather outrageous. It turned the Mercedes-AMG G 63 into a 900 hp luxury pickup truck. Four years later, the German tuner is at it again, giving the unconventional machine a new lease on life.
Folks, meet the new BRABUS P 900 Rocket Edition, now based on the latest W 465 Mercedes-AMG G 63. And no, this isn’t just a G-Class with the rear roof lopped off. There’s some serious engineering involved.

For starters, BRABUS extended the ladder frame and wheelbase by 500 mm (19.7 inches), relocating the rear suspension to accommodate an actual pickup bed. The four-door cabin gets a new steel rear bulkhead, while the cargo bed features carbon-fiber side panels, a side-opening tailgate, soft-teak decking, and two lockable waterproof storage boxes.
Under the hood is a heavily reworked 4.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 900 hp (662 kW) and 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) of torque. However, the latter is electronically limited to 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) to protect the drivetrain.
Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive, this rather enormous pickup launches from 0 to 100 km/h (0–62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 240 km/h (149 mph). Not bad for something with a cargo bed. But you probably don’t want to have anything on the bed if you plan on going that fast.
Getting all that power involves forged pistons, a custom crankshaft, larger turbochargers, and a high-performance exhaust system with adjustable valves. There’s even a quieter Coming Home mode for when you don’t want to announce your arrival to the entire neighborhood.
On the outside, the P 900 wears the ROCKET EDITION WIDESTAR widebody kit, exposed carbon fiber, red accents, illuminated BRABUS lettering, and massive 24-inch forged wheels. A specially tuned RideControl suspension lowers the vehicle by approximately 45 mm (1.8 inches).
Inside, BRABUS has gone all out with handcrafted black leather, Alcantara, red detailing, carbon-fiber trim, and LED-equipped paddle shifters. Rear passengers even get their own overhead instrument display showing vehicle data.
Only 10 examples of the new BRABUS P 900 Rocket Edition will be built worldwide. As for the price, it is, you guessed it, price on request.
