Let me be clear: I stumbled upon this General Grievous‘ Head brick-built MOC on the internet by chance, and so I have no way of knowing if this was somebody else’s original work that some outfit reproduced without permission. I did check on Rebrickable, but I did not find one that matches. All I know is some merchants are selling it as a set, and that’s a good thing for fans who are in the market for such a set. It will save you the trouble of shopping for the individual bricks—that’s if the instruction is even available to buy to begin with.
Now that we’ve cleared the air… we can proceed to get all excited about the Star Wars General Grievous MOC-79164 Helmet Bust Mask Collection. Actually, there’s not much to say about this set, nor does it need more to be said. It uses 694 elements to recreate a screen-accurate head of the infamous lightsaber-collecting baddie from Star Wars: Clone Wars (2004, animated) and Revenge of the Sith (2005).
When completed, it measures about 26 cm tall and 17 cm wide, making it an imposing display for any Star Wars fan. You can find it on HeroToyz, selling it for US$49.99, or pick it up from AliExpress for anywhere between US$32 and US$75. The price varies from merchant to merchant, so take your pick.
Note: It looks like there is more than one variant of this set on AE.
[UPDATE September 23, 2025, 9:12 PM] We found it! The original designer is a LEGO enthusiast by the name of Marcin Otreba. You can find him on Instagram. I strongly suggest you support the creator by downloading the original instructions from Brickvault (US$19.99) and purchasing the parts from marketplaces like BrickLink.
