Another year, another highly anticipated flagship from CaDA. First, it was the officially licensed AMG One in 2023, then the widebody Mazda RX-7 in 2024, and now, DOUBLEE Ltd’s brick-build brand is ready to shake up the brick-building world again—this time with a 1:8 scale Mercedes-AMG GT3 Technic-style model.
Details are scarce at the moment, but what we do know is that it’s another officially licensed set featuring a Mercedes-Benz model. From the floor images at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair (February 1-5), the Technic-style model looks almost like a miniature doppelgänger of the real race car—just smaller with fewer combustion sounds and more plastic.
The streamlined body, the oversized rear wing, and the aggressive aerodynamic widebody have all been faithfully recreated. How do we know it’s that accurate? Well, because the actual, full-sized Mercedes-AMG GT3 was present at DOUBLEE Ltd’s booth too.
Personally, I can’t wait for this set to drop. And when it does, you can bet we’ll have something to say about it (read: review). While CaDA has been cranking out 1:8 scale “supercar” models for a while, I believe it wasn’t until the AMG One that the company fully embraced the officially licensed route for its flagship releases.
