This Portable Monitor Will Turn Your Laptop Into A Dual-Screen Laptop

Duex Lite and Duex Plus Dual-screen Laptop Monitors

Never mind if Razer’s ambitious three-screen laptop will not see the light of production because, the guys over at Mobile Pixel has just the products that will turn a regular laptop into a dual-screen mobile computer. The products are Duex Lite and Duex Plus.

The biggest challenge when working with a laptop is the screen real estate. But with the Duex Lite and Duex Plus, you’d be having a multi-screen setup without the need for a large office desk.

In fact, it can remain as mobile as ever. If you ever desire to work at your local Starbucks with a multi-screen computer, well, now your dream has just came true. And that’s kind of neat.

Not the most elegant solution, but the mobility it offers will be greatly appreciated.

Duex Lite and Duex Plus are the newest add-on dual-screen laptop monitors coming from MIT-backed Mobile Pixels. They are designed to be easily attached to any laptop, or even a Nintendo Switch or an Android phone in the case of the Plus model.

Tipping the scale at mere 1.3 lbs (600g), the Duex Plus offers a generous 13.3-inch FHD display in a PC-ABS and aluminum alloy construction. It has a pair of USB-C ports and works with your laptop without the need for third-party software (when use with laptops with USB-C port).

The Duex Lite, on the other hand, is the more affordable model with a smaller 12.5-inch display. It is of PC-ABS construction and has just a Type-C port.

You can find Duex Lite and Duex Plus Dual-screen Laptop Monitors on Kickstarter where you can secure either model for US$189 and US$194 or more, receptively. The campaign is funded and if all goes as planned, the products should see shipping as soon as May 2021.

It does look pretty sleek on its own. If only it could be wireless…

The Duex Lite and Duex Plus Dual-screen Laptop Monitors are Mobile Pixels third Kickstarter endeavor, btw.
