Well, what do you know? As it turns out, Dyson also has a pair of audio cans. No, not the air-purifying cans. The OnTrac, as it is called, is purely a pair of headphones with no air purification feature. It is a strange move. It was launched back in July 2024. Fast forward to 2025, and Dyson has a surprise for style-conscious consumers: the Dyson OnTrac x PORTER Headphones.
As the product name suggests, Dyson has partnered with PORTER, the iconic Japanese bag brand, to create a collector’s set featuring Dyson OnTrac noise-cancelling headphones with a hand-crafted PORTER shoulder bag designed specifically to carry them—thanks to a special hook-and-loop setup that lets you hang the headphones off the side of the bag.
I think it not only looks cool but serves a practical purpose. At least it is better than having them around your neck. I mean, it is totally fine, but man, if you are in a tropical country and do that outdoors… let’s just say it is not the best feeling, with sweat swooshing around between the headband and your skin.
The collab cans further boast a matching color scheme of Prussian blue, khaki, and cinnabar, paired with a CNC black nickel outer cap. The bag, unsurprisingly, touts PORTER craftsmanship. The headphones pump out audio through custom-built 40 mm, 16-ohm neodymium drivers good for frequencies from 6 Hz to 21 kHz. Audio reproduction is further bolstered by best-in-class noise cancellation, capable of removing up to 40 dB of unwanted noise 384,000 times a second.
Other notables include an aluminum body, microfiber-wrapped cushions, up to 55 hours of battery life on a single charge, and a 10-minute quick charge that delivers up to 2.5 hours of use. Connectivity includes USB-C for charging and wired audio, Bluetooth 5.0 with up to 9 meters (30 feet) of range, touch controls including double-tap ANC, buttons for listening modes, an intuitive joystick for volume, and built-in microphones—eight of them for noise cancelling and one dedicated to calls. The headphones also work with the MyDyson app and support Siri voice assistant.
The Dyson OnTrac x PORTER Headphones launched earlier this month with only 380 units available worldwide, each priced at £649.99. Unfortunately, though, it appears to be sold out. Oops.
