Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray Deluxe Japan Collector’s Edition

Who here cannot get enough of the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One and wish you could take home a copy of the film? Well, if you do, you are in luck. The Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray Deluxe Japan Collector’s Edition announced for Japan’s market is now heading to the U.S. market.

The Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray Deluxe Japan Collector’s Edition is the same as the for-Japanese market version—right down to the features and packaging—except that it now has English menus and the option to select the theatrical release English subtitles for non-Japanese language audiences.

Not all discs have English subtitle options though. The collectible Blu-ray set has four discs: Disc 1: Godzilla Minus One 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Disc 2: Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray, Disc 3: Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color Blu-ray, and Disc 4: Bonus Blu-ray. The latter is a Japanese language-only disc featuring making of, VFX Making of, Event footage, and more. Keep going for the official details straight from the source:

Disc 1: Godzilla Minus One 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray

Disc 2: Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray

Disc 3: Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color Blu-ray

Disc 4: Bonus Blu-ray (Japanese language only)

The highlight is not just the movies with all the digital contents; there is also the 4-disc Digipack with an outer case featuring beautiful artworks, as well as a special booklet and a “Special Disaster Response Materials Compilation” Abridged version. There is a slight caveat though; the literature is in Japanese language only.

If anyone’s interested, the Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray Deluxe Japan Collector’s Edition is available for pre-order now for US$65 with estimated shipping starting in September 2024.
