When Google introduced the screen-free Fitbit Air, it offered fitness and sleep tracking without another glowing rectangle demanding attention. Now, it has made the discreet little band harder to ignore in the least expected way: by putting a sleeping Pikachu on it.
The Google Fitbit Air Special Edition Pokémon Sleep dresses the tracker in a suitably calming Sleepy Blue (yes, that’s the color it’s called) fabric band. A custom silk-printed tag on the strap features Sleeping Pikachu alongside the official Pokémon Sleep logo. It is adorable, subtle, and much less likely to electrocute you than wearing an awake Pikachu to bed.
Underneath the bedtime makeover is the same lightweight, micro-adjustable Fitbit Air designed to remain unobtrusive during sleep. It tracks sleep duration along with light and deep sleep stages, then passes the data through Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS to the Pokémon Sleep app.
That means you no longer have to leave your phone on the mattress overnight. Your recorded sleep contributes to your Sleep Score, which multiplies Snorlax’s Strength to produce Drowsy Power. The higher the resulting score, the more Pokémon and rare sleeping styles may gather around Snorlax the following morning. At last, sleeping longer has consequences beyond being slightly less grumpy.
Inside the box is an insert card containing a code for redeeming Pikachu Incense in the game. Buyers also receive a three-month trial of Google Health Premium for additional sleep guidance and health insights.
The Google Fitbit Air Special Edition Pokémon Sleep went on sale in the U.S. and Japan on September 15, 2026. It costs US$129.99, or US$30 more than the standard model. Consider the difference a Pikachu tax for making bedtime significantly cuter.
