Rockstar Games is going big with the next installment of the GTA video game series, Grand Theft Auto VI. From multiple trailers to the cover art reveal, the game developer and publisher wants to make sure fans are sufficiently riled up. And it is not about to slow down when it comes to feeding fans news to keep the anticipation high.
Rockstar Games has recently dropped another GTA 6 trailer for, believe it or not, another GTA 6 trailer. OK. Maybe the latter is not quite a trailer; it is probably a deeper look at the game to, you know, rile things up. The game developer has partnered with Netflix to offer Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, which is set to premiere on the streaming platform on Thursday, August 27, at 3 p.m. ET.
The extended look will also launch on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI website at 9 p.m. ET on August 27.
Ignoring the fact that it will also be available on other platforms, one cannot help but wonder: why Netflix? I, for one, think there’s more to it. Who knows? One day, there may be a GTA movie or series.
Given the movie- and TV-series-worthy storylines in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, it is no surprise that Netflix would want to jump on it. Besides, if even Matchbox toy cars and View-Master can have movies, why not a franchise with actual characters and plots, right?
Anyhoo, keep going for the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look.
