Huawei Mate40 Pro Case Has A Flip-up, Battery-free Selfie Ring Light

Huawei Mate 40Pro Ring Light Case

Huawei has gone all out in the area of mobile photography with its Huawei Mate40 Series smartphones. And to reinforce that notion, it has developed a photography-focused smartphone case.

The Ring Light Case, as it is called, is a unibody case with a ring light featuring 54 “precisely arranged LED lights.” Unibody case, huh? Isn’t most cases are unibody though? Hmmm…

Anyways… the ring light is seamless integrated into the back of the case, surrounding the space ring quad-camera module which, IMHO, look super cool.

The ring light can be used with the main camera setup or flip up when taking selfies. It does not end there. The ring light offers three levels of brightness (low, medium and high) and three color temperatures (mixed, cool and warm).

There is a physical button right smack on the center of the case that allows you to turn on/off the ring light, toggle the brightness and switch color temperature without the need for an app.

With the case slapped on, the Mate40 Pro automatically and wirelessly powers it when the pre-installed Camera app is launched. Absolutely no battery required. Pretty ingenious, if you ask me.

If you are big in mobile photography and planning to get the Mate40 Pro, this is hands down the must-have accessory.

The Huawei Mate 40Pro Ring Light Case will sell for €69 (around US$82) when it becomes available in the EU markets.
