Unlike dinosaurs, which have long gone extinct, movies—specifically, the Jurassic franchise—about them are not about to go extinct. We hear an eighth Jurassic movie is already in the pipeline. In between, the franchise is being kept alive through animated spin-offs, video games, and toys.
Speaking of toys, here’s the latest one that will make you go, “Awww, so cute!” Folks, this is the Jurassic World Hammond Collection Screen Scale Aquilops ‘Dolores’, a realistic dino pet you can own without the hassle of one-time hatching or genetically engineering one.
Part of Mattel’s Jurassic World Hammond Collection, little Dolores is an incredibly lifelike recreation based on the creature’s onscreen appearance in Jurassic World: Rebirth (Universal Pictures, 2025). Oh, did I also mention that it is 1:1 scale?
That makes Dolores Mattel’s first-ever true-to-size dinosaur collectible. Granted, she is among the few dinosaurs small enough to perch on your shoulder or peek out of a backpack without immediately causing structural damage. The figure measures 42.16 cm (16.6 in) long, 18.29 cm (7.2 in) tall, and 12.19 cm (4.8 in) wide.
Realism comes courtesy of premium real-feel body material, glass eyes, articulated limbs, and flat-free joints designed for more movie-accurate poses. Her tail contains a wire, allowing it to be bent and positioned as needed. There are no glowing eyes, roaring sounds, or dramatic red water here. Dolores relies on old-fashioned cuteness.
The Jurassic World Hammond Collection Screen Scale Aquilops ‘Dolores’ comes in premium window-box packaging, allowing her to remain visible if you cannot bring yourself to release another prehistoric animal into the house.
The adorable herbivore is available for pre-order for US$54, with shipping expected on or before October 9, 2026. Feeding, veterinary care, and dinosaur liability insurance are not required.
