LEGO Ideas Gizmo Set Brings the Cutest Mogwai to Brick Form

LEGO Ideas Gremlins: Gizmo (21361)

Another ’80s movie icon has been immortalized in LEGO bricks, and it’s looking absolutely Mogwai-tastic. That’s right, my friends—the cutest Mogwai, Gizmo, is now a LEGO set, thanks to LEGO Ideas member Fuma Terai. The LEGO enthusiast’s proposed Gremlins set was greenlit a while back, and it’s now officially available.

Thankfully, you don’t need to follow the three infamous rules with the LEGO Ideas Gremlins: Gizmo (21361). The 1,125-piece brick-built Mogwai, inspired by the 1984 classic Gremlins, is totally fine with bright light (though maybe keep it away from UV sources, cos’ there are a lot of white bricks), and it won’t spawn mischievous offspring if it gets wet. Then again, why would anyone get their LEGO sets wet, right? As for the “no feeding after midnight” rule, well… if this little brick Gizmo could eat at all, you’d be welcome to feed him whenever.

Jokes aside, this is an impressively accurate brick recreation of the beloved creature from the silver screen. Unlike most brick-built characters of such nature, this one has posability—you can adjust the ears, arms, hands, fingers, and feet for different looks. But there’s a catch: you’ll have to choose whether to build Gizmo standing or sitting, since the lower belly and legs are assembled differently. Of course, you can always rebuild him if you change your mind.

For extra detail, the set includes a water splash element (to remind you of what could happen) and Gizmo’s brick-built 3D glasses. Fully assembled, Gizmo measures over 8 in. (20 cm) high, 10.5 in. (27 cm) wide, and 3.5 in. (8 cm) deep in standing pose.

The LEGO Ideas Gremlins: Gizmo (21361) drops October 1, 2025, for US$109.99, and is available now for pre-order at LEGO.com. Skip ahead to take a few more looks at this brick-built cutesy.
