You know what defines the 80s? It is not just Back to the Future (Universal, 1985) or Flashdance (Paramount, 1983); it was the cartoons. Cartoons like The Centurions, M.A.S.K., He-Man, Visionaries and ThunderCats. Ah.. those were the days, isn’t it? But what’s gone is gone. We can only relish the time we had with now-collectible action figures and re-watch sub-par resolution videos that are accompanied by horizontal video lines. Not in the case of ThunderCats though. It is unlikely that Batman will announce his presence on a mass transportation system such as a ship and surely, billionaire Bruce Wayne won’t either, but for fans of this fictional crimefighting cape superhero/brilliant detective, it will be perfectly fine to be cruising on a classic Batman themed big-ass ferry like the Italy-based Tirrenia ship’s Sharden. In a partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and obviously, DC Entertainment, Tirrenia has begun decorating the sides of DC superheroes-themed Tirrenia ships. Work started earlier this year when Tirrenia’s ship, Sharden, had its sides painted with the classic Batman graphics. With so much money rolling, mobile game looks like an area too lucrative to ignore and Marvel’s biggest competitor, DC Comics, is not about to let the New York entertainment company have all the money.
