One of the most underrated live-action Batman villains is finally getting the high-end collectible treatment. We are talking about Mr. Freeze, as played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, from 1997’s Batman & Robin, and it looks fantastic—well, at least it is in photographs. Say what you will about the movie, but let’s be real: all the things you don’t like about a film tend to become icons that you love over time.
Batman & Robin is no exception. I’m not here to hate on it—quite the opposite! I think the pre-Dark Knight Batman films were gloriously true to their comic/cartoon roots, even if that meant they looked a little… looney in live-action. But that’s part of their charm! Anyway, I’m not here to rant about how Christopher Nolan made Batman a literal darkness. I’m here to talk about the Batman & Robin – 1/6th scale Mr. Freeze Collectible Figure—specifically, the Deluxe Version.
This icy masterpiece from Hot Toys perfectly captures Schwarzenegger’s blue-skinned, pun-filled villain in all his over-the-top glory. The head sculpt is eerily accurate, the armor has a reflective metallic finish, and the translucent parts make it look like he just walked out of a cryo chamber. The LED lighting on the suit, helmet, and Freeze gun? Chef’s kiss. And if that’s not enough, the Deluxe Version includes glider wings and a frozen diorama base, so you can properly recreate his Gotham-freezing ambitions.
Of course, this level of coolness doesn’t come cheap. The Deluxe Version is priced at about US$385 from retailers like Sideshow, while the standard version goes for around US$355—also from retailers like Sideshow. But there’s one tiny weeny caveat. In classic Hot Toys fashion, don’t expect it to arrive anytime soon—this bad boy won’t be shipping until somewhere between January and June 2026. By then, Gotham might actually be frozen.
