No, you’re not having déjà vu. I did think I saw a Batmobile clock based on Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman somewhere before. And indeed, we did — back in 2020, when Kross Studio dropped a limited run. Fast forward to today — well, April 8, to be precise — and Jacob & Co. is now teasing what looks like an exact replica.
What’s going on? I honestly have no idea. Aside from an Instagram post, there was no further information.
Here’s the official line, for those curious:
“A timepiece built for heroes.
The Gotham City in black PVD or rose gold comes with its own Batmobile clock — because saving the city should look this good.”
As you can see, Jacob & Co.’s branding can be found on the left side of the clock—which confirms this isn’t a rerun of Kross Studio’s version (or maybe it is?). And as you have read, it’ll apparently be available in black PVD or rose gold.
Now I’m intrigued. A rose gold 1989 Batmobile? Now, that’s some Bruce Wayne kind of wealth flaunting!
