Thanks to Atlanta-based LEGO fan bossofdos64, a.k.a. Robert Becker, LEGO is finally taking a dip into Peanuts territory. The LEGO Ideas Peanuts: Snoopy’s Doghouse may be just one set, but it lets you play out some of the most memorable scenes between Snoopy and his best friend and confidante, Woodstock.
LEGO designers have taken the green-lit LEGO Ideas set “Snoopy Campfire” by bossofdos64 and leveled it up with the iconic red doghouse on a green patch, Snoopy’s typewriter, and a starry sky backdrop. Based on popular moments from the comic strip’s 75-year history, fans can build and display this charming 964-piece set, posing Snoopy and his sidekick Woodstock in multiple ways.
You can stage the duo in a campfire scene, with Snoopy and Woodstock toasting marshmallows over an open fire beneath a starry sky, or place them atop the famous red doghouse. Snoopy can lie on the roof—staring into the vast sky above—with his best friend perched on his belly, or sit upright typing on his LEGO typewriter. Snoopy can also stand, thanks to two alternative leg builds for sitting and standing. The figure features two neck positions for lying down and standing.
When the starry night sky backdrop is not needed, it can be folded and stored inside the doghouse. Now that’s a thoughtful design touch. When completed, Snoopy’s doghouse measures over 10 in. (25 cm) high, 6.5 in. (17 cm) wide, and 5.5 in. (14 cm) deep.
