You didn’t think Matchbox would settle with just a Matchbox The Movie Director Diorama now that the die-cast collectibles toy brand has a movie, did you? Of course it did not. Now, the film’s Camaro gets a collectible of its own, complete with a finish as seen in the action flick.
The Matchbox The Movie 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Prop Car Replica recreates the movie’s muscle car in 1:64 scale. Its distressed metallic blue paint preserves the wear, while a ZAMAC body and base give it some substance. True Grip two-piece tires and wheels, lightly smoke-tinted windows, and a black interior complete the miniature.
It comes in an acrylic display case with window-box packaging explaining the car’s role in the film. Mattel Creations lists it at US$25, although it is currently marked as sold out.
