If you are planning on adopting the brutalist aesthetic for your next PC build, then you will want this GPU: the Palit GeForce RTX 5080 GamingPro GPU with CONTROL Resonant. It is not actually shrouded in concrete, btw. It is just made to look like it is.
While real concrete would be nice, it would weigh too much and likely snap the PCIe slot. That’s not to mention the heat issue. Actual concrete would insulate the heat so intensely that the RTX 5080 would thermal throttle into oblivion.
Part of the Palit Maker campaign commissioned by the GPU maker, famed modder Jengki Wmp has custom-made a shroud and backplate and painted them to look like raw concrete as part of a brutalist architectural theme inspired by the video game CONTROL.
Using a combination of textured paint and weathering effects, Jengki Wmp managed to pull off a very convincing brutalist aesthetic, complete with a custom “hammer” prop standing next to it.
The result looks like something salvaged from the Federal Bureau of Control’s Oldest House. The rough, weathered concrete finish gives the graphics card an industrial appearance that wouldn’t look out of place in the game’s eerie, constantly shifting headquarters. Thankfully, you won’t need a clearance level or a visit from the Board to install it in your PC.
Underneath all that architectural cosplay is still a Palit GeForce RTX 5080 GamingPro, complete with NVIDIA’s ray-tracing capabilities and DLSS 4.5 support. The makeover is cosmetic, so you’re getting the familiar GPU hardware rather than an entirely new graphics card. It’s just dressed for a particularly depressing day at a government building.
And about that hammer. It’s not merely there to make the photos look cool. The custom prop is actually included with the graphics card as part of a giveaway. Yes, one lucky person will get both the concrete-inspired RTX 5080 and its matching hammer. Whether the hammer will help you deal with supernatural entities is another matter entirely. Spoiler alert: it probably won’t.
To enter, participants must join the PALIT Maker Community Facebook group and leave a comment on the giveaway post using the specified message format, including their country and the campaign hashtags.
The giveaway closes on November 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM (GMT+8) [TH]. Only one winner will get to bring this one-of-a-kind creation home. So, if you’ve been dreaming of building a PC that looks like it belongs inside a brutalist government facility haunted by interdimensional horrors, here’s your chance.
