Sony Pictures just dropped a new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. So, is there more to know? Well, yes and no. I was so intrigued by the first trailer that I cannot resist breaking it down, and you know what? I think I had most of it covered, which this new trailer goes on to show.
As before, spoiler haters, it is time to turn away. I think the most important takeaway is that there is a “bad” and “good” side of the friendly neighborhood superhero, which he hopes Banner can help with. Another important takeaway is, yes, he eventually gets the ability to organically produce spider webs/web fluid.
The trailer also reveals that he has to take on Scorpion (which, quite disappointingly, IMHO, is in a mechanical exosuit), the authorities, an unknown “unseen” entity, and the Hulk, which was kind of hinted at by the LEGO set.
Remember the device that keeps Banner from unwillingly turning into the smashing beast? Well, in one scene, it was off his wrist. How? Maybe someone sabotaged it intending to make him go amok, and Spider-Man has to stop him? I don’t know.
Anyhoo, what needs to be said, I have said in the last post on this exciting new Spider-Man movie. So, I guess it is time to witness some of my breakdown coming true in the new trailer below?
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit the theaters on July 31.
