Transformers Adamas Machina AMT-01 Rodimus Prime Action Figure

Transformers Adamas Machina AMT-01 Rodimus Prime Figure

If you haven’t heard. Takara Tomy has dropped the Masterpiece (MP) line after rolling out the 100th Transformers Masterpiece figure. In its place is a new line known as MPG, which is short for Masterpiece Gattai, Giant, and Great. MPG started its life with Trainbot, an Autobot combiner set. But that’s not the only major change to the Transformers’ collectible line.

Takara Tomy also revealed a new premium adult collectible line, known as T-SPARK [JP]. T-SPARK is not a Transformers-exclusive line; it also has other toyline like Zoids, Metamor Verse, Toyrise, and more. The first Transformers figure in the new T-SPARK hobby label is the Transformers Adamas Machina AMT-01 Rodimus Prime [JP].

At a glance, you’d think it is a non-transformable action figure from officially licensed brands like Flame Toys/Furai Model but it is not. Believe it or not, it is a transformable toy. The similarity to Flame Toys Kurokarakuri Rodimus Prime is no coincidence though; the robot mode design is inspired by Flame Toys Kurokarakuri Rodimus Prime which is a stylized version of the character from the comic book.

Takara Tomy is going all out to woo serious collectors. The figure, which stands 230 mm tall (9 inches), will tout painted parts as opposed to molded color to create a sense of realism as a metallic life form. In addition, it will contain die-cast parts that will give it some heft, and premium feel.

The figure features multiple points of articulation that will allow you to recreate dynamic poses as seen in the comics. Transformers Adamas Machina AMT-01 Rodimus Prime Figure comes equipped with photo laser cannons which can also be mounted to the vehicle.

The Takara Tomy Transformers Adamas Machina AMT-01 Rodimus Prime Figure is available for pre-order in Japan for 30,800 yen [JP] (tax included). It is also available for pre-order from Hasbropulse.com for US$199.99. Delivery for customers in Japan is expected to commence in February 2025 while folks who ordered from Hasbro can expect shipping to start on May 22, 2025.
