Large televisions have one unavoidable problem: they remain large even when switched off. The XGIMI AURA 3 Series offers another approach, using an ultra-short-throw projector to produce a massive picture while occupying a lot less wall space.
The new 4K RGB triple-laser TV series comprises the AURA 3 Pro and AURA 3 Max. Both support 4K playback at 120 Hz and feature a Dual Dynamic Iris with DBLE, X-VISION AI Image Processor, reduced rainbow effect, Dolby Vision, and IMAX Enhanced certification. In other words, it’s going to make cinephiles very happy.
The AURA 3 Pro delivers 4,100 ISO lumens and up to 7,000:1 native contrast. The flagship AURA 3 Max increases those figures to 5,700 ISO lumens and 8,000:1, making it the brighter choice for rooms that refuse to stay dark.
Connectivity includes three HDMI ports, with two supporting 4K at 120 Hz and one offering eARC. There are also three USB ports, Gigabit LAN, optical audio, and a 3.5 mm audio output.
Audio has not been left to whatever tiny speakers could fit inside. Both models pack an 80W Harman/Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual, making the AURA 3 Series capable of handling movie sound without immediately asking you to buy a soundbar.
XGIMI is accepting US$50 fully refundable reservations ahead of the Kickstarter launch on October 20, 2026. Using the same email address on Kickstarter unlocks the VIP deal and an additional US$200 in savings. The resulting Super Early Bird prices are US$1,999 for the AURA 3 Pro and US$2,199 for the AURA 3 Max, down from respective MSRPs of US$3,999 and US$4,999.
Shipping is expected to begin in December according to Kickstarter pledge order. Remember, however, that the US$50 payment reserves the deal, not the projector itself. The actual purchase happens on Kickstarter.
