We all know that Barbie is making the jump to the silver screen in a new live-action film directed by Greta Gerwig (Little Woman). Now we know how the story is going to play out, thanks to the first official trailer. As always, turn back if spoilers offend you because this trailer is definitely a plot giveaway. The premise of the story is that the perfect life of Barbie (Margot Robbie) was disrupted she became less than perfect. Like, she walked the ground without heels, falls from the roof where she usually floats down, and most importantly, started having an existential crisis asking taboo questions like death.
Anyhoo, long story short, it is recommended that she take a trip to the real world to learn the truth. As you can imagine, hilarity ensues, starting with their out-of-this-world, over-the-top outfits. Oh right. Ken (Ryan Gosling) snuck into her Barbie convertible and tagged along.
Not going to lie. The movie sounds like a ton of fun. And this is coming from a non-fan. Skip ahead for the said trailer. The Barbie The Movie will hit the theaters on July 21.
