LEGO Icons Pac-Man Arcade (10323): It Is Kind Of Playable

LEGO Icons Pac-Man Arcade (10323) Set

Jimmi-DK’s proposed LEGO Ideas Pac-Man arcade may have failed to garner enough supporters but that does not stop LEGO from considering making one. That’s right. LEGO has, in collaboration with Bandai Namco, released its own take on the iconic Pac-Man arcade cabinet.

However, this official LEGO iteration of the arcade is not a miniaturized floor-standing arcade; it is a tabletop arcade instead, and did we mention it is “playable” too, complete with scores and all? The “screen” will come alive with familiar Pac-Mac action by turning a crank to the side of the brick-built arcade cabinet. It even has a light-up coin slot, just like the real thing. Sweet.

The LEGO Icons Pac-Man Arcade (10323) was announced by LEGO on the same day the original game was revealed in 1980 – 43 years ago. The brick-built table-top Pac-Mac arcade is presented in Pac-Man yellow which was surprisingly, inspired by the LEGO Group’s signature color.

In addition, the set includes a large colorful brick-built version of Pac-Man, Blinky, and Clyde on a rotatable base which you can choose to display on the cabinet or separately. The brick-built versions of Pac-Man, Blinky, and Clyde have two sides: one side in their regular colors, i.e. yellow, red, and orange, respectively, and the other in state after Pac-Man eats a power pellet and the ghosts turned blue.

The light-up feature is, of course, courtesy of light brick. Removing the back panel reveal the inner working of this LEGO arcade, which also includes a small vignette of a female minifigure playing Pac-Man on an arcade.

The LEGO Icons Pac-Man Arcade (10323) Set is set to arrive on June 04, 2023, with an asking price of US$269.99. LEGO VIP Early Access on this set starts on June 01, 2023.
