Fans of the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection—which, for the uninitiated, is basically the grown-up LEGO City but zoomed down to street level and with insane levels of detail—have just welcomed a new building to the blueprint. Joining the LEGO Natural History Museum, LEGO Icons Jazz Club, LEGO Icons Boutique Hotel, LEGO Icons Police Station, and more is the LEGO Icons Shopping Street (11371).
Packing a cool 3,456 pieces, this latest Modular Buildings Collection set features ornate buildings with angled walls, a central alleyway, and a bustling plaza, which somehow reminds me of Century City, even though Century City isn’t exactly old like the architecture of the historic European towns that inspired this set. But the vibe is there. I think.
The hallmark of such cities—which I am sure we have all seen in movies like The Italian Job, Murder Mystery 2, and more—are their intriguing corners and winding alleys. A testament to Europe’s clever use of space, if I may add. Granted, some of those streets were not exactly designed with modern motorcars in mind.
Anyhoo, as far as the model goes, it comprises two buildings. There is housing with a two-story music shop, complete with marching-band instruments, and there is a furniture store that looks like it is having a big sale. On the second storey, above the retail spaces, is a carpenter’s workshop, a furnished apartment, and a roof garden complete with potted plants and a pigeon coop.
The set features a modular design allowing easy access to the interior, and side connectivity to combine with existing sets. Populating the set is a vibrant cast of minifigure characters, from store owners and workers to customers, a couple of pigeons, and a, ermmm… rat? All told, there are 7 minifigures with this set.
The LEGO Icons Shopping Street Set (11371) is made for AFOLs and will drop on January 04, 2026, for US$249.99. LEGO Insiders early access is on January 01–03.
