As huge as the 10030 Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) Imperial Star Destroyer was, it was outsized by the later 10221 UCS Super Star Destroyer Executor. Yet neither—especially the 10221—could truly convey the vessel’s out-of-the-galaxy hugeness. But it looks like LEGO is determined to set things right, starting with the new LEGO Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer (75457).
This new brick-built version of Darth Vader’s flagship packs a spectacular 6,130 pieces—almost twice as many as the 10221—and measures a staggering 136 cm (53.5 inches) long, 50 cm (20 inches) wide, and 20 cm (7.5 inches) high. It also tips the scales at over 5 kg (11 lbs), so it is wise to choose your display furniture with the same care the Empire applies to planetary intimidation. You have been warned.
With a great piece count comes great detail. The model captures the vessel’s imposing scale and razor-sharp silhouette from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, accompanied by a to-scale Star Destroyer and a tiny Millennium Falcon represented by a 1×1 round tile 😂. Because nothing communicates Imperial excess quite like reducing one of cinema’s most famous spaceships to a decorative speck.
Dense central greebling contrasts with sleek side panels, while a newly decorated tile appears 60 times to recreate the seemingly random hull lights. Inside, a LEGO System core and slender Technic outriggers anchor the enormous exterior panels without making the ship unnecessarily bulky. Hopefully, that also prevents the drooping overhang that afflicted my old UCS Imperial Star Destroyer after prolonged display. Gravity remains firmly aligned with the Rebel Alliance, it seems.
There is also a minifigure-scale recreation of the Executor’s bridge, populated by Darth Vader and all six bounty hunters together in one set for the first time: Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss. IG-88 receives a newly molded head, while Dengar arrives with a refreshed backpack.
The LEGO Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer (75457) lands on October 1, 2026, for US$799.99. Buyers ordering through October 7 will also receive the LEGO Darth Vader’s Lightsaber (40897), while stocks last.
The Empire has supplied the flagship. You merely need to supply 1.36 meters of unoccupied furniture, and also a chunk of your life-saving, or your kids’ college fund.
