We are a little late on this, but if it hasn’t hit the market yet, so I guess it is not late, late? Anyhoo, if you haven’t already heard, LG has introduced the UltraGear evo series, a new range of high-end gaming monitors designed to push 5K resolution, refresh rates, and visuals into the next generation of displays.
The line includes three flagship models — the 39-inch 39GX950B, 27-inch 27GM950B, and 52-inch 52G930B — each featuring the company’s new on-device 5K AI Upscaling technology that enhances image clarity without forcing gamers to upgrade their graphics cards.
The 39-inch UltraGear evo 39GX950B is a curved 5K2K OLED ultrawide panel that combines deep blacks and wide color coverage with Dual Mode refresh rates: 165 Hz at native resolution or 330 Hz at lower resolution for competitive play. Early community chatter suggests launch prices could be around $1,500–$2,000 USD, though final retail pricing hasn’t been confirmed by LG.
For gamers who prefer Mini-LED displays, the 27GM950B debuts as the world’s first 5K MiniLED panel, using 2,304 local dimming zones and Zero Optical Distance engineering to reduce blooming and improve contrast accuracy. A recent pre-order tease lists this model at about $999.99 USD in some regions, marking it as potentially the most accessible option in the lineup.
Rounding out the series is the 52-inch UltraGear evo 52G930B, billed as the largest 5K2K gaming monitor. Its expansive 21:9 layout and 240 Hz refresh rate aim to deliver immersive visuals for titles that thrive on scale and speed. As with the rest of the evo family, exact availability and official MSRP are expected to be revealed closer to global launch.
