After The HomeBrew, LG Is Introducing A Capsule-based Ice Cream Maker Too

South by Southwest (SXSW), though not about gadgets and emerging technology, is no stranger to gadgets, but this year’s festival goers had more gadgets to ogle at – thanks to LG. LG had hit up SXSW for the first time, bringing along some really cool stuff, including a series of new AI robots, unique smart lighting solutions, the world’s first rollable TV, the new LG HomeBrew capsule-based craft beer maker and a concept, a connected ice cream maker called Snowwhite. New LG Flagship Smartphones Did Not Get The Memo About Going Notch-less

This is a little late, but you can’t blame us. With mind-blowing innovative smartphones like the Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone and nubia Alpha wearable smartphone – just to name a couple, kind of makes flagships like the LG V50ThinQ 5G and LG G8ThinQ looks rather mundane. Not that foldable phone or one that’s wearable is any better, but, you know, they just adds the much-needed wow in the otherwise stale smartphone designs we have seen thus far. LG Confirms Rollable OLED TV Will Go On Sale Later This Year

LG is a TV maker who is totally obsessed with making TV disappear when it is not needed. The electronics giant never stop finding ways to do so. From transparent display to smart TV laser projector to “rollable” OLED TV. Unlike most concepts, LG is realizing these technologies and the latest in the company’s quest for disappearing TV to make it to the market is the rollable OLED TV, first seen at last year’s CES. Rollable TV is not only real, but it will be hitting the market later this year. Folks, the days of awkward black screen in the living is finally coming to an end! LG To Debut Massive 49-inch UltraWide Computer Monitor At CES 2019

No. What you see here is not a two-monitor setup. Neither image stretched horizontally. It is one single UltraWide computer monitor from LG. Set to debut at CES 2019 are the 49-inch LG UltraWide Monitor (49WL95) and the 38-inch UltraGear Gaming Monitor (38GL950G) that offers an incredibly expansive aspect ratio of 32:9 and 21:9, respectively. And they are both curved monitor. That kind of makes Philips Momentum 43-inch 4K LED Monitor seems a tad small, isn’t it? New LG TWINWash Washer And Dryer Is Smart, Works With Voice Assistant Too

When LG pitched the idea of twin wash washing machine, AKA washer, we thought it was a crazy idea. Like, who needs two washers in one washing machine, right? Well, as it turns out, it was a hit. OK. Maybe not a hit, hit, but it does sell, or at least we thought it sells because, the electronic giant is pushing out a new generation of TWINWash Washer and Dryer – this time packing even more tech. How much innovations, you ask? I am not quite sure, but being a recipient of 2019 CES Innovation Award, it must have some pretty kick-ass innovations, right? LG Is Bringing A New Ultra Short Throw Projector To CES 2019

Following the HU80K, LG is introducing a second-generation laser projector. The LG HU85L CineBeam Laser 4K Projector, as it is called, utilizes Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology that enables it to be placed extremely close to the walls, while laser projection eliminates any degradation typical of acute angle projection. LG said HU85L can be placed as close as 2 inches from the wall and when doing so, projecting a 90-inch image (diagonally, of course). LG Set To Debut New Sound Bars With Google Assistant At CES 2019

LG has a lot to show off at next year’s CES in Vegas. Among them are the Capsule-based craft beer making machine and these: LG SL Series Sound Bars. Now, we do not have the numbers, but I am guessing LG’s first collaboration with Meridian Audio on its premium sound bars introduced at CES 2018 must have been quite well received because, LG and the premium British audio maker has once again teamed up to introduce a new series of sound bars, namely SL10YG, SL9YG and SL8YG, which the electronic juggernaut will debut at, you guessed it, CES 2019. Continue reading LG Set To Debut New Sound Bars With Google Assistant At CES 2019

LG Capsule System Wants To Take The Science Out Of Home Brew Beer

LG has been making home appliances far longer than it has been making mobile phones. As such, it has amassed a long catalog of home and kitchen appliances under its name that have pretty much every aspect of your life covered. That said, you would have thought the South Korean electronics giant would want coffee drinkers covered as part of, you know, the natural progression. Well, no. Oddly, LG decided that it wants to make beer drinkers happy instead. Continue reading LG Capsule System Wants To Take The Science Out Of Home Brew Beer

LG Gets Into The “Smart Display” Game With XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9

Is smart display going to be the next big thing? I don’t know. It could be. Whatever it is, LG is into it too, with a new device called LG XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9 Smart Display. LG XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9 Smart Display is sort of LG’s take of the recently updated Amazon Echo Show and the JBL LINK View Smart Display Speaker we saw earlier this year. It touts Google Assistant, a touch display and has sound whipped up by Meridian Audio – a second collaboration with the English maker of high-performance, HIFI audio equipment. Continue reading LG Gets Into The “Smart Display” Game With XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9

LG Defies Convention With Oblong Projector That Is Also A Smart TV

What’s your impression of a projector? Probably a flat box, or at best, a cube? And it is these norm that makes the LG HU80K Cinebeam Laser 4K Projector stands out in the market. Yes, the oblong thing you see here is a projector. Defying the norm, the HU80K from LG takes on a vertical form factor, so it could be place on the floor to project up to 4K resolution videos on the wall, or if you so desire, onto the ceiling by means of the integrated reflector. The reflector here also serve to protect the lens of the projector when the device is not in use. Continue reading LG Defies Convention With Oblong Projector That Is Also A Smart TV
