Sony has finally taken the gloves off—literally—and announced its first-ever fight stick, officially named the PlayStation FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick. Formerly known as Project Defiant, FlexStrike made its big debut at Evo 2025 in Las Vegas, where fighting game fans got their first hands-on look and probably argued nonstop about button layouts.
FlexStrike isn’t just another arcade stick with a logo slapped on. It’s wireless, powered by PlayStation Link for ultra-low latency, so your dragon punches don’t turn into accidental taunts. Mechanical switch buttons deliver that satisfying clack with every mash, while toolless swappable restrictor gates—square, circle, or octagon—mean everyone can stop complaining and just pick their poison. The gates even store inside the stick, which is far more civilized than rattling around in your backpack.
Sony also bundled a sling carry case so you can roll up to a local like you’re carrying a bass guitar, only to reveal an arcade stick designed to ruin friendships. Other niceties include a built-in battery, DualSense inputs, simultaneous PS Link audio with a Pulse headset, and a lock button to save you from fat-finger shame.
The FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick lands in 2026. Price remains undisclosed—probably waiting for the winner’s screen. Meanwhile, you may learn more about this exciting new game controller HERE.
