But here’s the thing: you will not be able to drive these cars. The solution? Scalextric.
Speaking of Scalextric… the toy race track maker revealed its 2023 Range earlier this year. With the new Scalextric 2023 Range, you’d be able to own some pretty cool rides, including, believe it or not, the Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward’s 6-wheel Rolls-Royce straight out of the 60s puppet TV series, Thunderbirds, and James Bond Lotus Esprit S1 aka the submarine car from The Spy Who Loved Me.
Scalextric Thunderbirds FAB-1 is a 1:32 scale replica of the iconic vehicle with a complete “luxurious interior” and the iconic grilled up front. Meanwhile, the Scalextric James Bond Lotus Esprit S1 – The Spy Who Loved Me ‘Wet Nellie’ may be a Scalextric car now but it is definitely not for the bathtub or your local lakes. It is still designed for slot tracks. I know. It’s a bummer but at least you can own one now without going head-to-head with the mega-rich.

With the exception of the Micro Scalextric James DB5 – Goldfinger, all vehicles and accessories are 1:32 scale. Each features Scalextric’s Magnatraction, DPR (Digital Plug Ready), and is compatible with Spark Plug. All 1:32 scale models boast front and rear lights too. Save for the Williams FW11 which is available now, the rest of the models are available to order. Exact availability varies from model to model.
