Sony PlayStation 5 Breaks Cover And It Has Not One, But Two PS5 Systems

Sony PlayStation 5 Officially Announced

This is it. The much anticipated next-generation PlayStation console from Sony, the PlayStation 5, finally breaks cover. After countless enthusiast renders and a teaser of the aesthetic by the way of the DualSense controller, the actual hardware has been revealed today in an online-only reveal.

Besides the look, there’s a surprise along with the announcement too. There is going to be not one, but two PS5 systems: a PlayStation 5 console with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition without a disc drive.

While the hardware has been revealed, along with its peripherals including a media remote, details are still sketchy. Then again, for the geeks, what you want to know about its hardware technical details, has been addressed in a lengthy very technical insight back in March.

Just before the video game console was revealed, Sony has took more than an hour to unveil a lineup of games, including an expanded and enhanced edition of Grand Theft Auto V, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Horizon Forbidden West, remake of Demon’s Souls, and finally, Gran Turismo 7.
