There’s a lot of speculations as to how the next-generation PlayStation video game console will look like since people found about the patent Sony has filed. It is not a pretty sight, TBH, and till now, Sony has not reveal anything.
As a consolation, though, there are other details – specifically, the hard technical specs, to go around. In an event that premiered earlier today (or yesterday, depending on where you are located), Sony Interactive Entertainment’s lead system architect for PS5, Mark Cerny, offered a deep dive into the upcoming PS5 console’s architecture in a 50+ minutes presentation.

Highlights of the presentation include a mind-blowing, ultra-high-speed SSD and an architecture that promised to eliminate load times, the custom GPU that the next-gen video game console will be rocking, the support for ray tracing, and 3D audio up the immersion ante.
