Along with the announcement of the Oppo Find X2 Pro March 6, the Chinese handset maker also revealed its second collaboration with Italian supercar maker, Lamborghini on a second raging bull-branded handset.
Inspired by the Aventador SVJ Roadster, the Oppo Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini boasts, for the first time, the use of hot forging glass technology to create the phone’s three-dimensional ridged “fuselage”, showing off the super sports car-like mechanical beauty.
Oppo said that a four-layer overlay process enables Oppo to achieve the carbon fiber texture that echoes the interior of a Lamborghini car.
Well, what can I say? Oppo and the rest of the Chinese handset maker really mean business when it comes to luxing up their devices for such collaborations. The Chinese market propensity to spend on luxe good is pretty astounding.
That’s not it. The Oppo Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini also comes with Lamborghini-branded accessories, including a case, earphones, charging cable and power brick, and of course, the packaging itself.
Beyond the cosmetics, the Oppo Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini is very much the Find X2 Pro you have learned. Except that this superlative edition comes with 512 GB of storage as opposed to 256 GB that comes standard on the “regular” Find X2 Pro (RAM remains the same at 12 GB).
Another major difference is in the price. The Oppo Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini cost nearly double the price of the vanilla Find X2 Pro, coming in at a cool 12,999 yuan in the Chinese market.
That works out to be around US$1,839 (or about €1,686) which, TBH, no matter how you look at it, is super pricey for any flagship phone.
