Seagate Collab With EK To Put Tiny, Glowing Lightsabers On Its FireCuda SSDs

Special EK and Seagate Lightsaber Collection FireCuda SSD

Computer cooling gear maker EK has partnered with renowned data storage brand Seagate to bring Lightsabers to Firecuda SSD. You heard that right. Lightsaber on a solid state drive. The special Lightsaber Collection FireCuda Solid State Drive, as it is called, demands a transparent PC case or at least a case with a transparent side cover so that it could admire in its full Jedi/Sith glory.

The EK x Seagate Lightsaber Collection Firecuda SSD features a heatsink inspired by the iconic Jedi of the Star Wars Universe. It boasts an interchangeable patent-pending faceplate design honoring Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Vader, featuring a super-cool lightsaber design with customizable D-RGB lighting for the Lightsaber effect.

On the practical, cooling front, there is an anodized aluminum body, and a finely textured micropore surface to improve heat transfer and lower SSD temperatures that would allow the Special Edition FireCudas to run at peak speeds for extended periods.

Speaking of speeds, the EK x Seagate Lightsaber Collection Firecuda SSD utilizes PCIe Gen4 SSD with up to 2 TB of capacity and offers up to 7,300 MB/s sequential read speeds.

The special EK and Seagate Lightsaber Collection FireCuda SSD will only be available in 1 TB and 2 TB capacity. However, pricing and availability are unknown at this point.

Meanwhile, you are welcome to learn more over at its product page on Seagate.com.
