Were you excited by the new Transformers origin story? If you were, well then you be glad that there is a new trailer that lets you in on more details—if you do not have an aversion for spoilers that is! Somehow, I felt like I had seen it all with this second trailer. As far as the animated feature film goes, I am torn.
On the one hand, I am glad that Hasbro wants to set the record straight concerning the origin but on the hand other, we have one too many origins. Netflix’s Transformers War for Cybertron was the most recent to address the origin story if you recall. So, I am not sure if we need another.
Then again, this is the Transformers franchise, which is no stranger to convoluted storylines. It does not have much continuity to talk about. OK. Maybe there are. But there is no doubt that the aim has always been to sell toys—which is fine by me—so continuity isn’t a priority in the past and I don’t think it matters in the future too. Anyways, keep going for the said trailer.
