YSMART, the purveyor of tiny everyday carry, has a new product that isn’t quite as tiny as its past creations, but tiny as it can be for an EDC that packs a whopping 36 tools. And yes, the TOOLT, as it is called, is a 36-tool multi-tool, which, however I look at it, does not appear to be able to serve up 36 functions. But it does.
The secret lies in three locking tool plates that pull out from either side of its compact body. The first handles adjustments with eight hex wrenches, three bit drivers, a saw, an awl, a wire stripper, a spoke wrench, a bottle opener, a shopping cart key, and even a BBQ skewer cleaner. Because, why not?
The second plate is responsible for opening, cutting, and prying duties. It includes a can opener, pry bar, cord cutter, flathead screwdriver, bicycle tire lever, scraper, and a Morse code reference. The third brings metric and imperial rulers, a Phillips screwdriver, and coarse and fine files.
Separate from the plates is a replaceable Stanley 11-921 utility blade. It deploys using a thumb slider, locks at two extension lengths, and has a safety lock to prevent your pocket from becoming an unscheduled operating theater.
When closed, the TOOLT measures just 70 × 32 × 18 mm (2.76 × 1.26 × 0.71 inches). Fully deployed, it stretches to 180 mm (7.1 inches), looking like a tiny toolbox experiencing a mechanical awakening. A pocket clip and lanyard hole take care of carrying duties.
The aluminum version combines a 7075-T6 aluminum body with 420C stainless-steel plates and weighs around 80 g (2.8 oz). The premium version is made entirely from Grade 5 titanium and weighs approximately 95 g (3.4 oz).
The TOOLT is currently being funded on Kickstarter, where pledges start at £79 (around US$106) for aluminum and £99 (around US$133) for titanium. The campaign ends on October 18, 2026, with shipping targeted for January 2027.
