Razer Turns Everything Red With an Evangelion Unit-02 Gaming Gear Drop

Razer Evangelion (EVA-02) Collection

You probably heard it was coming, and now—or rather, on January 14, to be precise—Razer officially revealed its second collaboration with Studio Khara for another collection of Evangelion-themed Razer products. This time, Asuka’s Evangelion Unit-02 gets the spotlight.

The products that received the EVA-02 makeover include the Razer Viper V3 Pro, the Razer BlackWidow V4 TKL HyperSpeed, the Razer Kraken V4, the Razer Gigantus V2 XXL, and finally, the Razer Iskur V2 X. You will not be able to recreate the cockpit of Unit-02, but you will feel the part—no LCL required. Keep going for a quick rundown of each product.

Razer Viper V3 Pro Evangelion (EVA-02) Edition

The Razer Viper V3 Pro needs no introduction, but the new colors do. Razer gave the gaming mouse the EVA-02 red paint job with bold mechanical accents inspired by Unit-02. A silhouette of the Progressive Knife can be found at the corner of the left mouse button. Meanwhile, the right button features a line-art Unit-02. The official EVA-02 logo can be found on the shell. Throughout, you can find accents like warning stripes, pixelated arrows, and more, referencing the Evangelion anime. Finally, Razer branding has also been turned orange for this product.

Razer BlackWidow V4 TKL HyperSpeed Evangelion (EVA-02) Edition

You probably do not recognize it as the Razer BlackWidow V4 TKL HyperSpeed, because the aesthetic of the original black colorway gaming keyboard has been completely taken over by EVA-02 red, backed by orange backlighting, and a pattern inspired by the MAGI supercomputer’s visual interface—the iconic orange honeycomb-like look. The keyboard further features various familiar Evangelion and NERV elements printed on select keycaps, including NERV between warning stripes, a line-art EVA-02 unit head that covers the Tab and Caps keys, the Progressive Knife, a stretched EVA-02 branding, and more. The Razer branding has also been turned orange for this product, and finally, there is the EVA-02 shoulder badge as a finishing touch.

Razer Kraken V4 Evangelion (EVA-02) Edition

There is nothing you do not know about the Razer Kraken V4, but what you may not know is that this THX headphone is now dressed in EVA-02 colors, with several EVA-02 elements, including black and yellow warning stripes on the ends of the headband, and a headband decorated with line-art of the mecha, the EVA-02 shoulder badge, and more. The Razer branding on the headband is now in light red to get into the theme. Meanwhile, the Razer three-headed snake logo gets the orange treatment.

Razer Gigantus V2 XXL Evangelion (EVA-02) Edition

The Razer Gigantus V2 XXL has the most serious EVA-02 makeover, IMHO. This giant-sized mouse mat, which is engineered for stability and wide, decisive motions, and has a textured cloth surface for fluid wipes, has now taken over by EVA-02. There is a giant EVA-02 shoulder badge, giant warning stripes in the background, line-art of the mecha, and various elements from the anime.

Razer Iskur V2 X Evangelion (EVA-02) Edition

This ergonomic, tough, and built-for-marathon-focus gaming chair may be relatively new, but it also needs no introduction. But damn, this EVA-02 version is absolutely dope. It is not fully consumed by EVA-02 red. Instead, it is flanked by EVA-02 red on the back and on the seat. The MAGI supercomputer’s visual interface, i.e., the honeycomb-like pattern, makes an appearance on the side supports on the backrest, extending to the back of the chair. The center is entirely in black, accented by Evangelion elements like warning stripes and EVA-02 logos in yellow.

Razer’s three-headed snake logo is also in yellow for this. At the edge of the seat is an EVANGELION branding in red. The seat also appears to have orange trimmings. Over at the back is where it really screams EVA-02. On the black rear panel, a large line-art of Unit-02 in red occupies almost the entire surface. Also on the back are the Razer logo in yellow, a couple of black-and-red warning stripes, and the EVA-02 shoulder badge.
